Iraqis condemn American occupation By: Hamoud Kufi BAGHDAD, Iraq: Iraq Friday sermons severely criticized the United States-led occupation bringing to light the deep suspicions about Americans that remain among Iraqis eight months after Saddam ouster. In a sermon at Mohsen mosque, Sayyed Amer Al-Hosni said the Americans trying to corrupt Iraqis. He advised: “Muslims, beware of what the infidel and corrupt West is trying to do to believers.” The worshippers responded with chants of “No, no to America,” and “No, no to the devil.” Sheik Ahmed Hassan Al-Samaraai at Al-Imam Al-Azam mosque warned against cooperating with the occupation. “Anyone who cooperates with American intelligence agencies is serving America, and America serves Jews… Iraqis should not be spies and sell themselves to occupiers.” END Ayat Sistani sticks to election call; Mosques under attack
