Saudi airliner to initiate flying to Mash’had plus other cities By: Abdulali RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: A Saudi Arabian daily Al-Watan penned in its Saturday editions Saudi airliner is to launch flights from port city of Dammam to Iranian cities of Tehran, Mash’had Al-Moqaddas, Shiraz and Isfahan. “The plan is on a request by new Saudi ambassador to Tehran,” the newspaper said believing that direct flights from Dammam to Iran cities will boost up the two-way economic ties and exchanges. The Saudi passenger planes will also transfer about half of Iran's Hajj pilgrims to holy city of Medina and Jeddah. Iran Air - Iran's national flag carrier airliner - had already launched its flights from Shiraz to Dammam. The flight is scheduled once a week on Thursdays. END |
