6th Imam (p)’s martyrdom marked in Mash’had, Qom

HOLY CITY OF MASH’HAD, Iran: In commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of 6th infallible descendant of holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (p), Hazrat Imam Jafar Sadiq (p), deep condolences were offered to Hazrat Imam Ali Ar-Reza (p) and Hazrat Masumah Qom (p) in the holy cities of Mash’had and Qom.

The mourning programs at the holy shrines of Hazrat Imam Ali bin Mousa Ar-Reza (p) and Hazrat Masumah Qom (p) in the holy cities of Mash’had and Qom began from the martyrdom eve, Shawal 25, attended by hosts of black-dressed mourners. Black banners were hanged at the shrines. Holiday was announced marking the occasion.

Speakers highlighted the holy and pious life of Imam Sadiq (p) and event of his martyrdom. Later, sina-zani (chest beating) was performed and dirges were chanted.

Similar mourning gatherings were also held at mosques, hussainiyaat, tombs and houses that include Hawzah Ilmiya Khurasan, Hussainiyah Zainul Abidin (p), Hussainiyah Reza (p), Baitus Sadiq (p) and Baitush Shirazi etc.
