Syria and Bahrain: Report of Shawal 25 commemoration

DAMASCUS, Syria: Grand Majales and Maseeraat Azaiyah, or mourning gatherings and processions, were organized in Syria and Bahrain like other global parts to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Al-Imam Ja’far As-Sadeq (as) on 25th Shawal.

In Syrian capital city of Damascus, majales were held at different husseiniyaat besides at the holy shrines of Seyyedah Zeineb (as), daughter of Al-Imam Ali (as), and Seyyedah Sakinah (as), daughter of Al-Imam Hussein (as).

The processions, taken out from mosques and husseiniyaat, culminated at the shrines to extend condolences to the pious members of holy family of Ahlul Bayt (as) on the sad occasion.

In Bahrain, thousands attended majales and maseerat held at Masjid Fatimah-tuz-Zahra (as) Hamd, Masjid Al-Momin, Maatam bin Salum Manama, Husseiniyah Al-Haaj Ahmed bin Khamis, Maatam Al-Imam Al-Baqer (as) Bouri, Maatam Ad-Darah, Husseiniyah Al-Qassab Manama, Maatam Al-Imam Ali (as) and many others.

Speakers in their speeches urged Muslim ummah to follow in the footsteps of Ahlul Bayt (as) in order to end problems faced by them.
