Israel banishes a dozen Palestinians from West Bank By: Ahmad Hammadi HELD JERUSALEM: The Israeli military on Friday has deported 12 Palestinians from the West Bank to the Gaza Strip, according to military radio report. Prior to the expulsion, Israel's supreme court rejected an appeal filed by the Palestinians giving the go-ahead for the deportation on Thursday. A military spokesman said the Palestinians, who had been locked up without trial, had been taken in groups of four via a military base near to their place of detention and the Erez crossing point.
