Ayatullah Ibrahim Yazdi expires; leaders condole

NAJAF AL-ASHRAF, Iraq: Ayatullah Sayyid Ibrahim Tabatabai Yazdi has passed away in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 20 February 2003, 18 Zulhijj 1423.
He was the grandson of late Ayatullah Muhammad Kadhim Tabatabai Yazdi and son-in-law of late Ayatullah Sayyid Mohsin Tabatabai Al-Hakim.
Ayatullah Ibrahim Yazdi’s corpse was dispatched by ship to Basra and the funeral was expected to be on Tuesday, the 25 February 2003 in Najaf Al-Ashraf.
Leaders and religious scholars from different parts of the world have extended their condolences on the sad demise of late Ayatullah to his son Dr Sayyid Khalil Tabatabai.
