Ayat Montazeri out of danger after hospitalized By: Sheikh Muhammad Khurasani HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: Grand Ayatullah Hussein Ali Montazeri was out of danger on Wednesday after being rushed to the Qom hospital due to heart problems just less than a week after Iranian authorities released him from house arrest. Since Tuesday, 80-year-old Ayatullah Montazeri has been in intensive care when he complained of chest pains. He was released amid concern over his deteriorating health, and he described after his release in the Holy City of Qom the Iranian regime as a “dictatorship”. Talking to a foreign news agency, Ayatullah Montazeri’s son Ahmad Montazeri said: “Suddenly he had a pain in his heart and we immediately took him to hospital and the doctors have decided to keep him in for three days (till Thursday).” “Although he is in intensive care the doctors said he is not in a critical condition,” he said. “The doctors said he was just tired from all those meetings and speeches,” which he attended and delivered since his release from house arrest.
