Protesters seek remains of executed leader in Held Kashmir By: A. A. Rathor SRINAGAR, Held Kashmir: Indian police on Thursday fired tear gas to disperse hundreds of Kashmiri demonstrators who were demanding the return of the remains of a freedom fighter leader hanged and buried in a New Delhi jail 19 years ago in 1984. Protesters carrying photographs of the executed leader Maqbool Bhat were shouting: “Return the mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Bhat.” Police charged at the protesters with batons and also arrested along with other activists the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik who was leading the demonstrators in Srinagar, Held Kashmir.
