Iraqis observe martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (S)

KAZMAYN SHARIFAYN, Iraq: The martyrdom anniversary of Mistress of the Women of World Fatimah Bint-e-Muhammad (peace be on them) was marked in Iraq with fervor and respect on Jamadi-ul-Oula 13.

On this occasion, hosts of devotees visited the holy shrines of Al-Imam Ali (peace be on him) in the holy city of Najaf, Al-Imam Al-Hussein (peace be on him) and Hadhrat Abul Fazlil Abbas (peace be on him) in the holy city of Karbala, Al-Imam Al-Kazim (peace be on him) and Al-Imam Jawwad (peace be on him) in Kazmayn Sharifayn and Al-Imam Ali An-Naqi (peace be on him) and Al-Imam Hasan Al-Askari (peace be on him) in the holy city of Samara.

Pounding their chests and heads and chanting dirges, the mourners extended their condolences in the respected court of Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him & his holy progeny) on her only daughter’s martyrdom which according to some traditions occurred on 13 Jamadi-ul-Oula while according to some other on 3rd Jamadi-us-Thani.

Condolences were also offered to Al-Imam Ali (peace be on him) and other A’emmah (peace be on them) of Ahlil Bayt (peace be on them).
