Ramallah demo exacts release of Pal detainees

RAMALLAH, West Bank: Palestinians on Saturday demonstrated in the West Bank city of Ramallah demanding Israel to release their loved ones.

They were shouting slogans and holding the portraits of their relatives detained in Israeli prisons. Israeli Prime Minister has freed some Palestinian prisoners in recent weeks but Palestinians want him to release all thousands of prisoners to show his commitment to peace efforts.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Premier Mahmoud Abbas planned meeting with his Israeli counterpart Ariel Sharon on Sunday and press him to release more Palestinian prisoners.

The Sunday's talks start 10 days of diplomacy in which Abbas will meet Bush in Washington on July 25 and the Sharon will hold talks with him on July 29.
