“Release prisoners”: Palestinian kids exact Israel

WEST BANK: Demonstrations for the release of thousands of Palestinians who are behind Israeli bars continued in different Palestinian cities and towns.

Holding posters of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, Palestinian children staged a demonstration in the West Bank town of Qalqilya on Tuesday. They shouted slogans and called for the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

Human rights groups say that more than 600,000 Palestinians have been jailed in Israeli lockups since 1967 while Israel held some 175,000 Palestinians during 1987-1994.
