Demo held in Najaf against rag shutting

HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Members of the political party The Highest Council To Liberate Iraq staged a demonstration on Friday in the holy city of Najaf that housed the holy shrine of Al-Imam Ali (AS) to protest against the shutting of their newspaper.
The Eco of the Nation was shut down on Thursday on allegations of provoking violence against the occupying US-led Coalition Forces.
The protestors while holding banners chanted anti-American slogans. One banner read: ‘where is democracy and freedom’
