India conducts surface-to-air Trishul missile By: Irfan Malik NEW DELHI, India: India has test fired a short-range surface-to-air Trishul missile on Sunday, reports said. The Trishul missile, developed by India's Defense Research and Development Organization, was tested from the integrated test range at Chandipur. Trishul has capability of delivering a 15-kilogram (nine-pound) warhead up to nine kilometers (five miles) away. It ought to fly with precision and a high speed and strike even if the target is employing evasive tactics. But, according to an official the missile was not able to strike its target. END |
