2-dozen killed as train derails in Western India By: Irfan Malik NEW DELHI, India: A special holiday passenger train derailed in the western Indian state of Maharashtra leaving at least 23 people dead including children and more than four-dozen injured, officials said Monday. The incident occurred in the state's Ratnagiri district late Sunday night, about 600 kilometres from Bombay city, after the train hit boulders spilled on the track by a landslide in western India.
