Iraqis cheer arrival of Moqtada in Sadr city

BAGHDAD, Iraq: Aaqa-e-Sayyid Moqtada AS-Sadr was warmly welcomed by thousands of cheering Iraqis on his visit Tuesday to Baghdad suburb of Al-Sadr City.
Moqtada AS-Sadr, son of martyred Ayatullah Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq As-Sadr was under house arrest in the holy city of Najaf – that is home to the holy shrine of Al-Imam Ali ibn-e-Abi Talib (AS) - since 1999.

Addressing the people who were holding martyred Ayatullah As-Sadr’s posters and were chanting slogans in his favor, Moqtada As-Sadr demanded US immediate withdrawal from the holy land of Iraq and called for an Islamic government.
He made clear that anyone other than Iraqis has no right to form a government here as this right goes to Iraqi people only.
