Pakistanis observe Day of Mourning with respect

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - 08 June: Youm-e-Sog, or the Day of Mourning for Syed Niaz Hussain Shah, a victim of terrorism in Quetta, and for other Martyrs of Nation was observed in Rawalpindi and Islamabad like other parts of the country on Sunday with respect on the call of Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan.

On this occasion, Majalis-e-Aza and mourning gatherings were held by Tanzeem Shia Aaimmah Masajid. While addressing to Majalis to mark the day, scholars and speakers paid tributes to the sacrifices of Martyrs and said that death of Martyr is life of nation that is not only acme of Momin but also his objective and aim. They urged the government to take special measurements to maintain peace, and arrest the culprits immediately. they termed the terrorism incidents as an ulcer and heinous conspiracy against motherland and Islam that could be foiled by unity, solidarity and brotherhood.

The participants demanded effective implementation of Presidential Anti-Terrorism Ordinance (ATO) and called upon the rulers to take notice of the activities of banned groups and avoid encouraging them.

A resolution passed on this occasion demanded Jamali government to tight noose around the terrorists and instead of personal interests give priority to the national interests. Another resolution expressed full solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris, Palestinians and Iraqi nation. Fateha Khoani and Quran Khoani were also held for the high ranks of Martyrs on this occasion.

Majalis-e-Youm-e-Sog were held at Qasr-e-Imam Moosa Kazim Islamabad, Shia Jame Masjid Dhalyala, Masjid Isna Ashari Chaklala, Masjid Anayat Shahi, Masjid Ahle Bayt Wah Cantt, Markazi Masjid Jaferiya Islamabad, Jamia-tul-Momineen, Masjid Haideriya Chitiyan Hatiyan, Qasr-e-Rubab, Darbar Sakhi Shah Chan Charagh, Masjid Kazmiyah Chuhr Harpal, Qasr-e-Abutalib (AS), Qasre-Shabbir Dhok Syedan and many other places that were addressed by Allama Kazmi, Allama Fakhar Abbas Zaidi, Moulana Sajjad Gardezi, Allama Qalb-e-Abbas Khoarzmi, Moulana Baqir Naqvi, Moulana Hafiz Amjad, Allama Sadqi, Waqar Hussain Naqvi, Allama Abbas Kazmi, Allama Bukhari, Allama Taqi, Allama Mohsin Hamdani and Moulana Tanveer Kazmi.
