Imam Al-Askari (a)’s martyrdom commemoration in Bahrain

Manama, Bahrain: Majalis-e-Aza and Maseeraat Azaiyah (mourning processions) began on Friday night, May 9, in commemoration of Al-Imam Al-Hassan bin Ali Al-Askari (AS)’s martyrdom anniversary in Bahrain like other parts of the globe.
Majalis were held in different mosques, hussainiyaat and maatam of the country and will remain continue on Saturday, Rabi-ul-Awwal 8 - the martyrdom anniversary of Al-Imam Al-Askari (AS) and the concluding day of Ayyam-e-Aza-e-Hussaini.
Hundreds of mourners attended a procession taken out from Maatam bin Salum, Manama, marking the occasion. Sheikh Hussain Al-Akraf recited elegies. The mourners while performing chest beating and shedding tears extended their condolences to the respected court of Al-Imam Al-Askari (AS) over the martyrdom of his father (AS).
Majalis were also held at Maatam As-Samamik Manama, Masjid Fatimah-tuz-Zahra (SA) Hamd, Maatam Al-Imam Al-Baqer (AS) Bouri, Maatam Ad-Darah, Hussainiyah Al-Qassab Manama, Maatam Al-Haaj Ali Al-Mulla Sanad, Maatam Raas Ar-Rumman, Hussainiyah Al-Haaj Ahmed bin Khamis and many others.
