Prophet (s)’s birth anniversary observance in India

NEW DELHI, India: As the celebrations in connection with Milad-un-Nabi (pbuh&hp), or the birth anniversary of the holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh&hp), are in continuation in different parts of the world, functions are also being held in India attended by throngs of people.
Under the arrangement of different organizations and associations, mahafil and milad programs to celebrate the auspicious occasion are held at Mosques, Imambargahs, Azakhanas and public halls in which na’at-khwani is performed and speakers highlight the Prophet (pbuh&hp)’s life.
To mark the occasion, Iranian Culture House here on Friday launched a three-day national Hifz and Qirat competition with more than 100 Huffaz and Qura attending it.
