Multitudes swarm in Mash’had, Qom for Safar 28 observance

HOLY CITY OF MASH’HAD, Iran: Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW)’s demise anniversary and his grandson Hazrat Imam Hassan bin Ali Al-Mujtaba (AS)’s martyrdom anniversary is being observed in Iran on Thursday 28th Safar-ul-Muzaffar.
On Wednesday night, hosts of mourners gathered at the holy mausoleum of Hazrat Imam Ali bin Mousa Ar-Reza (AS) in the holy city of Mash’had. They performed Azadari – majlis, matam, Noha and giryah - recited Zyarat-e-Jamia and thus condoled the Imam on the demise of his grandfather prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) and Imam Al-Mujtaba (AS)’s martyrdom.
Similar mourning gatherings attended by throngs of mourners were also witnessed throughout the night in the holy shrine of Hazrat Sayyedah Fatimah Al-Masoomah (SA), daughter of Imam Al-Kazim (AS), in the holy city of Qom.
Majalis were also held at the tomb of founder of Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatullah Khomeini (late) in Tehran, and tombs of Imam-Zadgaan in the holy city of Mash’had and Qom besides at hussainiyaat and mosques.
