Israel raids Gaza, West Bank; 10 Pals martyred

GAZA CITY: Dozens of Israeli troops and tanks backed by Apache helicopter gunships on Thursday thrust into a Palestinian neighborhood near Gaza city, leaving eight Palestinians including a two-year-old boy Amir Ayyad martyred.
The 8-hour raid was launched in the name of hunting down a Hamas chief Yousaf Abu Hin, even a committee was set up a to resume peace talks following the internationally acclaimed release of a new peace plan.
Some 60 Israeli tanks and armored personnel carriers took part in the attack on the district of Shajaiya in Gaza City at 3:00 am (0000 GMT).
Earlier, two other Palestinian men were martyred south of Hebron in the West Bank during a night operation by the army.
