Syria Hawzaat, Ayaat join Mourning Day observance

DAMASCUS, Syria: Syrian Hawzaat Ilmiyah, offices of representatives of Maraje Uzzam, organizations and Islamic centers have announced to observe general Mourning Day on Wednesday, 7 May, 5 Rabiul Awwal to pay homage to 182 Ulama-e-Din, or religious scholars, martyred at the hands of Saddam regime.
The call to mark the Mourning Day was made by top Ayaat and Hawzaat Ilmiyah of Iraq, Iran, Lebanon and Kuwait.
On this occasion, Majalis-e-Aza and Majalis-e-Fatiha will be organized in all these countries and classes in all Hawzaat will remain off.
In Damascus, a majlis-e-aza to mark the day will be held at hussainiyah Sayyid Al-Wahidi which will be addressed by prominent speakers.
