Pak: Martyr Day observed marking H-Mukhtar (R) martyrdom

RAWALPINDI, November 9: The Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Mukhtar bin Abi Ubaidah Saqafi (R.A.) was observed throughout the country including Northern Areas and Azad Kashmir as Youm-e-Shaheed, or Martyr Day, with due religious fanfare, spirit, devotion and respect on Sunday on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Majalis-e-Aza and Matamdari programs were held in mosques and Imambargahs on the occasions in which Ulama-e-Karaam, Waizeen-e-Uzzam, and Khutaba highlighted the seerat and character of Mukhtar Aal-e-Muhammad and paid great homage to Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi (R.A.).

Like other cities of the country, Majalis-e-Aza were also held in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on the occasion of Youm-e-Shaheed.

In Federal Capital Islamabad, Markazi Majlis in connection with Youm-e-Shaheed was held at Jamia Wali-e-Asr Tarlai Kalan. Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, in his address on the occasion said the character, and bravery of Hazrat Mukhtar (R.A.) is sign of bravery that is beacon of light for the whole humanity. He said we would have to adopt the character of Mukhtar that is the need of the present day world for our practical struggle against the oppression and colonial powers.

Allama Fakhar Abbas Zahidi at Masjid Imam Ali Naqi, Allama Sadiqi at Masjid-e-Jafariya I-9, and Allama Ikhlaq Hussain addressed a similar gatherings at Masjid Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.).

In Rawalpindi, Hay’at Tulaba-e-Islamia in Rawalpindi organized Markazi Majlis-e-Aza. Addressing the Majlis, Allama Zahid Abbas Kazmi said the seerat and character of Hazrat Mukhtar (R.A.) is the beacon of light even today for the oppressed world. He said at present the Islamic World was confronted with one problem or the other, oppression, terrorism, and brutality and these incidents now have become the order of the day and even the holiest cities of the Islamic World were not safe. Whether it is the Iraqi soil or that of Saudi Arabia it is respectable for the whole world of humanity, he said adding that even they were not being spared now so as to achieve self-interest.

He said there is only one solution for these problems that the Muslim Ummah should itself implement the Islamic commandments, the principles of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and launch a joint struggle to get rid of all these problems and issues following in the footsteps of Mashaheer-e-Islam. Paying rich homage to Hazrat Mukhtar (R.A.), he said his holy shrine surrounded by the shrines of Hazrat Hani and Hazrat Muslim near Masjid-e-Kofa is the Marja’a-e-Khalaiq. Syed Tabassum Abbas, Syed Mudassar Abbas, and Syed Aqeel Hussain also addressed the Majlis that followed Matamdari.

Central Secretary Information TNFJ Pakistan, Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi said Uswah-e-Mukhtar (R.A.) is the eternal jihad against oppression and brutality and could be followed to confront oppressors in every era. He said Shahadat is the inheritance of Momin and blood of Shaheed is the asset of the whole Millat and we are the real inheritors of the Shuhada’s blood. That is why, he added, that Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi observe the Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Mukhtar (R.A.) as Youm-e-Shaheed providing us a chance to reiterate that we will never hesitate in offering any sacrifice whenever so needed by the Millat. Zakir Matloob Kazmi and Syed Karam Hussain Shah Chakmaal also addressed the gathering.

Majalis-e-Aza marking the Youm-e-Shaheed were also held at many other places. Allama Mohsin Al-Hussaini addressed a gathering at Danishgah-e-Jafariya, Allama Khurshid Haider Jawwadi at Zainabia Hall, Allama M.A. Haleemi at Ali Masjid, Allama Zaheer Raza at Haideria Masjid, Allama Saqlain Ali Bokhari at Darbar Shah Chan Chiragh, Allama Taqi An-Naqvi at Darbar Sakhi Shah Piyara, Maulana Ijlal Haider Masoomi at Masjid Shah-e-Najaf.

Tread in H-Mukhtar (r) steps needed, Moosavi on Martyr Day

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan November 8: In a special message on the occasion of Youm-e-Shaheed that is being observed throughout the country with religious spirit, devotion and respect to mark the martyrdom of Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi (R.A.), Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan said that to get rid of oppression and brutality of international colonial powers there is an urgent need to follow the uswah of Mukhtar-e-Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) by whose name Yazidiyat is still shivering.
