Imam Ali (a)’ martyrdom observed in Saudi Arabia

QATIF, Saudi Arabia: Mourning processions marking the martyrdom anniversary of Al-Imam Ali ibn-e-Abi Taleb (as) on Ramadan 21 were taken out on the streets of Qatif, Saudi Arabia for three days – Ramadan 19-21.

Performing latmiyaat, or chest and head pounding, thousands of mourners expressed their love with Ahlul Bayt (as) and displayed their grief on the martyrdom of Amir-ul-Mominin (as).

Meanwhile, three-day majalis azaiyah were held at different mosques and husseiniyaat of Qatif, Ehsa, Sehat, Awamiyah and Medinah Monawwarah. Sheikh Nudhir Az-Zaher addressed majlis at Sahah Karbala in Awamiyah, Sheikh Radi Matr addressed at Rasul Al-Adham Mosque while Allamah Sheikh Abdul Ghani Al-Abbas addressed at Al-Abbas (as) Mosque.

Majalis were also witnessed at Al-Amir (as) Mosque, Al-Hussein (as) Mosque and Al-Imam Ar-Reda (as) Mosque.
