3-day mourning to mark Imam Ali (a) martyrdom ends in Bahrain By: Ali Al-Qadumi MANAMA, Bahrain: Bahrainis commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Al-Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (as) with great devotion and reverence by holding mourning gatherings and processions.
Mourning gatherings were witnessed for three days (Ramadan 19-21) continuously at Hussainiyah Al-Qassab, Masjid Fatimah-tuz-Zahra (sa), Maatam bin Salum, Hussainiyah Al-Haaj Ahmed bin Khamis, Masjid Al-Momin, Maatam Al-Imam Al-Baqer (as), Maatam Ad-Darah, Maatam Al-Ajam Al-Kabir, Hussainiyaqh bin Zubr, Maatam As-Samamik Manama, Maatam Medina Eisa, Maatam Al-Haaj Ali Al-Mulla Sanad, Maatam Raas Ar-Rumman, Maatam Al-Imam Ali (as) and Maatam Ithni Ashariyah.
Thousands of mourners attended the gatherings as well as processions taken out from all hussainiyaat, maatam and mosques offering their deep condolences to the Prophet (saw) and his holy family on the martyrdom of Maula Al-Movahiddin Al-Imam Ali (as). Dirge-chanters including Salih Ad-Darazi, Ali Hammad, Salih Sheikh, Ja’far Ad-Darazi, Mohamed Hussaain Ad-Darazi, Sayyed Mohammad Al-Vidayi, Bassem Al-Karbalayi, Abdul Amir Al-Beladi, Eisa Mahdi, Aziz Al-Manami, Sheikh Hussain Al-Akraf, Taufik Habib, Mohammad Ja’far, Riyadh Yousuf, Hassan Ahmed, Ja’far Sehvan, Ebrahim Al-Mout and many others recited dirges marking the occasion during procession.
