Tunisia Quran contest winds up

Tunis, Tunisia: The National Holy Quran Competition of Tunisia which was organized to mark the holy month pf Ramadan concluded here with the holding of a ceremony to honor the winners of the contest.

First Minister Muhammad Al-Ghannushy presided over the ceremony. He said President Zein Al-Abidin bin Ali was keen to encourage the recitation, interpretation and memorization of the Holy Quran.

“The President is also concerned about the image of Islam and encourages any action that would present the correct image of this faith and remove any misunderstanding about it,” Al-Ghannushy told the participants.
