Ramadan: Quran contest, Husseini majeles in Jordan By: Sultan Ahmed AMMAN, Jordan: Like other global parts, special programs marking the holy month of Ramadan, launched and organized by the government and local organizations, continue in Jordan. Minister of Endowments, Affairs and Islamic Sacred Places Dr Ahmad Hlil said the plan launched by the Jordanian Ministry of Religious Endowments includes the organization of the Hashemi competition for the memorization of the Holy Koran, its recitation, its psalmody and its interpretation with the participation of 35 Arab and Islamic countries. The plan envisaged live transmission of the meal period from the big Husseini Mosque amid the capital city of Amman. Meanwhile, daily Husseini majeles are also part of Ramadan programs in Jordan as in other countries. END |
