Pakistanis to observe “Day of Grief” on Ramazan 10 By: Salman Alvi RAWALPINDI, November 2: The Demise Anniversary of Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (S.A.) will be observed as Youm-ul-Huzn, or the Day of Grief, throughout the country on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. In this connection a meeting of the Central Youm-ul-Huzn Committee of the TNFJ was held on Sunday to nominate conveners to organize country-wide programs of Youm-ul-Huzn. Convener Allama Basharat Hussain Imami presided over the meeting. According to details those appointed conveners and secretaries, respectively are: Allama Sadiqi and Zulfiqar Ali Raja (Islamabad), Syed Abu Jafar Naqvi and Syed Zafar Abbas (Punjab), Sardar Hassan Ali Qazilbash and S.A. Kazmi (Sarhad), Syed Lutfullah Shah Lakyari and Arslan Haider Abidi (Sindh), Muhammad Ali Khan Advocate and Mehdi Hazarvi (Balochistan), Khwaja Basharat Ali Jafri and Riaz Hussain Kazmi (Azad Kashmir), and Allama Syed Ali Moosavi Iskanderabadi and Akhund Ghulam Muhammad Ammoni (Northern Areas). Allama Basharat Imami in his address on the occasion, strongly demanded from the government to ensure law and order situation in the country on the occasion of Youm-ul-Huzn on 10th Ramazan-ul-Mubarik and direct the quarters concerned to present special programs on the electronic media to highlight the seerat and character of Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (S.A.) while national newspapers should bring out special editions on this occasion. He made it clear that Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (S.A.) is Mohsina-e-Islam who has the honour to be the Momina-e-Awwal therefore this great personality enjoys her right on the media of Pakistan that came into being in the name of Islam. Allama Basharat Imami said the live nations never forget their Mashaheer and Mohsineen. He appealed the countrymen to express complete solidarity with the oppressed world including the oppressed people of Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashsmir, Palestine, and Chechnya and offer prayers for supremacy of the Islamic World, and integrity and solidarity of motherland Pakistan during the programs on that day.
