Countrywide meet of Friday Prayer leaders held in Tehran By: Sheikh Muhammad khurasani TEHRAN, Iran: Iran’s 18th countrywide meeting of Friday Prayers leaders in Tehran stressed on the significance of holding Friday Prayers in all parts of the Islamic republic. Addressing the meeting, Chairman of the Expediency Council (EC) Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said the Islamic Republic of Iran resists all pressures and threats. He called on Friday Prayers leaders to inform people of the country's affairs in order to prepare ground for their involvement in all fields of the society. He underlined the need for maintaining unity and solidarity among the Iranian people by the authorities and pointed out the global conspiracy to overthrow the Islamic system in Iran.
