First human rights forum held in Riyadh By: Abdulali RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia on Tuesday hosted a human rights conference aimed at discussing issues such as human rights under Islam, implementation of international human rights laws and the rights of refugees. The conference, organized by the Saudi Red Crescent Society, was officially opened late Monday, while the speeches and debating sessions began Tuesday. The forum was the first in the kingdom, which has faced international condemnation over its own rights record, its trampling of fundamental rights of other schools of thought.
