Mischievous mobs desecrate holy places and relics in Islamabad By: Salman Alvi ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Mischievous elements went on destruction, subversion and torching in Islamabad after the funeral of Azam Tariq held in front of Parliament House in the capital on Tuesday.
According to reports, the rioting mobs destructed different markets, desecrated the shrine of Hazrat Sakhi Shah Mahmoud Badshah, father of Sultan-ul-Fuqara Hazrat Bari Imam situated in Aabpara, demolishing the tiles of the shrine, looting money of nyaz, setting adjacent imambargah, mosque and library on fire and torching copies of holy Quran, holy relics and Alam Hazrat Abbas (AS). They burned a cinema as well leaving one man dead. During this, the administration played a role of silent spectator.

While addressing on this occasion, TNFJ Islamabad President Allama Basharat Hussain Imami held the government responsible for desecration of Holy Quran, holy relics and the shrine. He lamented that the Islamabad administration took no step for protection and security of life and property of citizens as well as holy places and left the people in the hands of terrorists.
He said the shrine of Hazrat Sakhi Mahmoud is resort for all, and none can even think to desecrate mosque, imambargah, holy Quran and the shrine. He demanded compensation from the government, curb of responsible elements in iron clamp, suspension of involved and inefficient members of the administration.
