Syria grieved on Binte Ali (AS)'s martyrdom anniversary

DAMASCUS, Syria: Marking the martyrdom anniversary of the elder daughter of Imam Ali Al-Mortaza Omm-ol-Masaib Sayyedah Zaynab (AS), Damascus was grieved like other parts of the world on Rajab al-Asab15.

The holy shrine of Aqeelah Bani Hashem Sayyedah Zaynab Binte Ali (AS) and streets around it were swarmed with multitudes of mourners since Rajab night 15 (the night between Rajab al-Asab 14 and 15).

A number of mourning processions were taken out from different mosques and Hosainiyaat on Rajab 15 night and the day to commemorate the sad occasion.

The processions culminated at Aqeelah Bani Hashem (AS)’s holy mausoleum. The mourners were pounding their chests, performing latmiyaat and chanting dirges to express their grief over the martyrdom of Sharikatul Hosain (AS).
