Arabs hit Israel for not signing nuclear treaty

VIENNA: Diplomats said Wednesday that fifteen Arab League states have proposed a resolution attacking Israel at a meeting of the United Nations nuclear watchdog for not signing the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

“There have been lots of developments (concerning suspected nuclear arms programs) in the Middle East, such as Iraq and Iran. Israel also has to be mentioned,” the diplomats said.
