Bahrain Conference on sects’ harmonization wraps up By: Ali Al-Qadumi MANAMA, Bahrain: Nearly 115 delegates from more than two-dozen countries attend the three-day conference here on harmonizing the Islamic sects organized by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. The King of Bahrain-sponsored conference, which was aimed at unifying Muslims, uprooting the causes of friction and misunderstandings and building bridges between the Islamic sects, will conclude on September 22. Participating delegates are drawn from Iraq, Pakistan, United States, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Syria, Iran, Oman, Bahrain, Germany, Egypt, the United Kingdom, Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria, Yemen, Switzerland, Palestine, Qatar, Canada, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon and Morocco.
