Palestine JC calls for Isra & Mi’raj commemoration By: Ahmad Hammadi RAMALLAH: Palestine’s Supreme Judiciary Council has called for the celebration of the auspicious occasion of Isra and Mi’raj as “Jerusalem and Aqsa Day.” In a statement that bears the signature of the Chief Justice Sheikh Taysir Rajab Al-Tamimy, the Council appealed that conferences and processions be arranged to commemorate the occasion. It urged prayer leaders and preachers in mosques throughout the Muslim world to explain to their congregations the venerated place, which the city of Jerusalem possesses in the heart of every Muslim. “The prayer leaders must also warn the congregations against the conspiracies to Judaize the city and desecrate the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and destroy it for the purpose of building the so-called temple,” it added.
