World leaders flay Iraq carnage, holy places desecration By: Sultan Ahmed CAIRO, Egypt: Leaders of the Arab and Muslim world as well as Islamic scholars have severely condemned slaughtering of Iraqi people and aggression on holy places by the US-led occupation forces in Iraq. The leaders urged the international community and organizations, including the United Nations, Organization of Islamic Conference and the Arab League to intervene urgently to stop the carnage in Iraq. These organizations must play a vital role in helping the Iraqi people to get rid of their current ordeals. Pushing the Arabs, Muslims and all the people, who love peace and justice, for expressing their solidarity with the people of Iraq, they appealed the charity organizations worldwide to rush humanitarian assistance and relief supplies to Iraq to alleviate the suffering of the people.
