Throngs attend Lebanese Ayat Al-Amuli’s funeral By: Tafasil anittashyii/ Karim Tellawi BEIRUT, Lebanon: Flocks attended funeral procession of Ayatullah Ash-Sheikh Ibrahim Sulayman Al-Amuli on Wednesday in his city Al-Bayadh, Lebanon. After funeral prayer following Dohrayn prayers, the procession preceded to Husseiniyah Rodhatush Shahidin in Al-Ghaberi at 1:30 PM. Later, the procession with the coffin headed to the holy city of Najaf, Iraq, where the late Ayatullah Al-Amuli will be buried. According to the higher Shiite Islamic council in Lebanon the Ayatullah was expired on Monday in Al-Bayadh. Ayatullah Al-Amuli was born in 1910 in Al-Bayadh. He acquired religious knowledge from Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Mohsin Al-Hakim At-Tabatabayi (late) who possessed a great status in Shiite world, Grand Ayatullah Mirza Muhammad Hassan An-Naini (late) and Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Hussein Al-Hamami (late). Late Ayatullah Al-Amuli was author of more than 275 books on all topics. Some of his books are Rowatush Shiia in 30 volumes and Ayatush Sh’er in 18 volumes. He laid foundation of Al-Hawzah Al-Imam Al-Hujjah (a.s.) in his city Al-Bayadh. END |
