Iran mourns Yassin killing; Saudi clerics visit family By: Abdulali DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia: A delegation of Saudi Shiite scholars visited in Dammam city the family of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, founder of Hamas, who was assassinated by Israel on March 22 in Gaza Strip.
The delegation led by Samaha Ash-Sheikh Hassan An-Namar and Samaha Ash-Sheikh Abdel Lattif Aal-e-Muhammad Ali and accompanied by dozens of elites from the region offered condolences to Sheikh Yassin’s brother Sheikh Ragheb Yassin, sons and other family members who reside in the kingdom. In Iranian capital city of Tehran, a mourning program for Sheikh Yassin was held at Arak Mosque attended by head of Majlis-e-Shura Al-Islami, members of the Majlis, representative of Vali Al-Faqih Ayatullah Al-Khamenei as well as political, cultural and diplomatic figures. Hujjatul Islam val Muslimin Hassan Akhtary addressed and condemned Israeli atrocities being committed against Palestinians. END |
