Muslims denounce Israel Al-Aqsa Mosque raid

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia: The Organization of Islamic Conference, the OIC, on Saturday urged the international community to intervene immediately to protect Palestinians and holy sites from Israeli aggression.

The Jeddah-based 57-member OIC denounced Israel's raid on al-Aqsa Mosque compound after prayers on Friday.

Secretary-general of the organization Dr. Abdul Wahed Belkeziz said: “This aggression on the holy sites was part of the policy of escalating conflict that is being pursued by Israel for a long time.”

Belkeziz reaffirmed the position of OIC that opposes all acts of violence and terrorism and calls for the use of peaceful means in the settlement of political differences.
