Kuwaitis pay rich homage to Imam Al-Mujtaba(p) By: Sultan Ahmed KUWAIT CITY: Second infallible successor of holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hp), Al-Imam Al-Hassan bin Ali bin Abi Talib (pbut)’s martyrdom anniversary was commemorated on Safar 7 across Kuwait. Mourners by attending majalis al-azaiyah at mosques and hosayniyaat offered their condolences to the last infallible Imam from the progeny of holy Prophet (pbuh&hp), Al-Imam Saheb Al-Asr (pbuh) on the occasion. Speakers highlighted the pious life of Al-Imam Al-Hassan (pbuh) who was brought up under the patronage of Sayyid Al-Ambiyaa, or the Chief of Prophets Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hp) and after his martyrdom under the guidance of Ameer Al-Mo’mineen, or the Commander of Faithful Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (pbut). They said Al-Imam Al-Hassan (pbuh) was the first happiness in the house of holy Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (pbuh&hp). As-Sdayyid Dakhel Hassan addressed a majlis al-azaiyah at hosayniyah al-Jaffaria and As-Sayyid Mustafa Al-Mousawi at hosayniyah AZ-Zahraa (pbuh) paying rich homage to Al-Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (pbuh). Shiites make up one third of Kuwait's indigenous population of 900,000. But they have only five members in the 50-seat parliament elected last July, down from six in the previous parliament. They also have one post in the emirate's 16-member cabinet, that of Mohammad Abulhasan, who holds the important information portfolio. END |
