Pak: Imam Reza (p)’s martyrdom day marked as ‘Mourning Day’

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan – April 08: Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam-e-Zamin Hazrat Ali bin Moosa Ar-Reza (A.S.) was observed throughout Pakistan including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas as Youm-e-Aza in line with the announcement made by Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi with religious devotion and fervor. Marking the occasion, Majalis-e-Aza were held in all cities and towns and Taboot processions were taken out.

Addressing a Majlis-e-Reza (A.S.), Agha Moosavi said true love and devotion for Muhammad (SAW) & Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) demands from us that we should not only be ready all the time for the protection and defense of those supreme values and greatest objectives for which the holy personalities gave sacrifices and kept them alive, but also should not withhold from laying big to big sacrifice.

The TNFJ chief went on saying that the way the leader and guide of great family of Prophethood Hazrat Imam Ali Ar-Reza (A.S.) fought against sufferings, oppression, barbarism and despotism during his 55-year life period for accomplishing his duties and divine responsibilities, is best lesson of guidance for the world of humanity.

He said this day oppression and barbarism rule everywhere, Kashmir & Palestine and Afghanistan & Iraq are being destroyed, holy sites are being ruined, respect of humanity is being torn into pieces and fundamental rights are being trampled everywhere. In order to get rid of all this, treading in the path of Husseiniyat is vital, and for this purpose Azadari of Mazloom-e-Karbala (A.S.) is a guarantee of strength, firmness and durability of world of mazloomiyat, he added.

Meanwhile, programs of Majalis and Processions were organized in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and their suburbs. In Rawalpindi, main Youm-e-Aza Taboot Procession was brought out from the residence of Ch. Saqalain Haideri. Matmi corps from Rawalpindi Cantt performed Noha-Khwani and Matamdari.

Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central Secretary Information TNFJ addressed. He made clear that Processions of Chehlum Shuhada-e-Karbala will be taken out from across the country including Quetta with due fervor and national glory acting upon the Code of Azadari issued by Agha Moosavi. He demanded from the government to make effective arrangements on the occasion of taking out of processions to mark Arbaeen-e-Husseini. Ch. Mushtaq Hussein, Zakir Matloob Hussein Kazmi and others also addressed.

A resolution adopted unanimously by the Majlis stressed upon the government to take special steps in order to ensure law and order in the country and to provide protection to Majalis and Processions during Ayyam-e-Arbaeen-e-Husseini (Safar 18-20). The resolution appealed to the politicians to shun political activities on the occasion of Chehlum Imam-e-Aali Maqam (A.S.).

The resolution urged the United Nations to play her important role ending her silence to make sure safety of Iraq’s holy places, Maraje Uzzam and oppressed people besides getting coalition forces withdrawn forthwith.

Syed Tabassum Abbas and others addressed a majlis-e-aza at Jamiatul Momineen followed by matamdari. At Imambargah Zainul Abideen (A.S.), Al-Haaj Ghulam Murtaza Chuhan, Zakir Yasir and other speakers addressed.
