Fatimiyah celebrations in Syria attack Najaf sacrilege

DAMASCUS, Syria: Birth Anniversary of beloved daughter of Holy Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (p), Sayyedah Fatimah Az-Zahraa (p), was celebrated in Syria on 20 Jamadi II, 6th month of Islamic calendar, with fervor and zeal.

Besides grand celebrations at the holy shrines of Sayyedah Zeinab bint-e-Ali (p) and Sayyedah Sakinah bintul Hussein (p) in Damascus, festive gatherings were held at different mosques and husseiniyaat to mark the occasion.

A similar program was held at Hawza Ilmiyah Zeinabiyah in Damascus organized by the office of Ayatullah Sadiq Shirazi. Sayyed Mortaza As-Sundi scented the gathering with his recitation of couplets in praise of Mother of infallible A’immah from the progeny of holy Prophet (p), Fatimah Al-Batool (p).

In his address, Sheikh Jalal Ma’sh threw light in detail on the great status of Fatimah Az-Zahra (p) in the sight of Allah and His Prophet (p). He condemned the on-going fighting in the holy city of Najaf, Iraq and besiege of the holy shrine of Commander of Faithful Al-Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (p).
