Ayat Sistani in stable condition after angioplasty By: Nabil Raza LONDON: Iraq's Ayatullah Sayyed Ali As-Sistani was in stable condition Saturday according to medics team following a procedure to unblock a coronary artery, his London office said. The office said the 73-year-old cleric had an angioplasty at the Harefield specialist heart hospital 20 miles northwest of London on Friday 13 August at 0500 PM. “The Ayatullah had an operation to unblock a coronary artery Friday. His condition is stable,” a representative from Sistani's office said Saturday. END |
