ISESCO condemns sacrilege of Holy Najaf, demands cessation By: Sultan Ahmed RABAT, Morocco: The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) while denouncing the violent attacks striking at the holy city of Najaf as well as sacrilege of the holy Islamic shrines therein has called for immediate cessation thereof. In a communiqué issued here, the organization said: “Following with great concern the harrowing events through which the Republic of Iraq is wading, especially as regards the brutal attacks striking at the holy city of Najaf, the desecration of the holy Islamic shrines therein, in addition to the acts of demolition and killing perpetrated by the occupation forces, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization -ISESCO-, condemns this most appalling and brutal attack and calls for Immediate cessation thereof.” “The Islamic Organization also calls for putting an end to the ordeal the Iraqi people are suffering, in order that they shall enjoy their legitimate right to self government and management of their own interests,” said the statement. It added: “By the same token, ISESCO appeals to the Iraqi people to strengthen bonds and yoke in joint cooperation to ward off foreign occupation.” END |
