Fire rips through Zahraa Mosque in Khaweldiyah

KHAWELDIYAH, Saudi Arabia: A fire ripped through Az-Zahraa (a.s.) Mosque in Khaweldiya, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday devouring all that was inside carpets, systems and air conditioners etc.

According to details the incident occurred on Wednesday Rajab 9 at Fajr (dawn) time. Soon fire brigades hurried to the spot and extinguished the blaze.

Cause of the fire was unknown. The security authorities are still undertaking investigation to know the fire circumstances and reasons. Anti-Shiite motives could not be ruled out in this incident, according to some.

Az-Zahraa (a.s.) mosque is a small mosque built on an area far from the residential districts.
