Days of Mothers programs end calling for holy sites protection By: Salman Alvi RAWALPINDI, August 01: Two-day “Ayyam-e-Madran” (Days of Mothers) on the call of Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, chief of the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh-e-Jafariya, Pakistan to mark the demise anniversary of respected mother of Hazrat Abul Fazal Al-Abbas (A.S.), Hazrat Ummul Baneen (S.A.) concluded throughout the country like other global parts on Sunday. Big congregations and Majalis-e-Aza programmes were held in all small and big cities and towns of the country on this occasion. Different ulema, waizeen and zakireen presented homage to Ummul Baneen (S.A.) in their address in these gatherings organised at Imambargah Zainul Abideen, Danishgah Jafariya, Jamia Wali Al-Asr, and other dozens of mosques and Imambargahs. The main Majlis of the “Ayyam-e-Madran” was held at Imambargah Ahle Bait Moejjezahgah Wah Cantt. Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, Central Secretary Information in his address on the occasion said, at present peace the world over was shattered and differences, anarchy, restlessness, oppression, evil and terrorism was the order of the day that has gripped the whole humanity as a result of which fear, harassment, unrest and disappointment was rife all around the basic reason of which is negation of justice and fair-play. Zaidi said the system of the universe is rested on justice and fair-play and justice has been termed the real base of the religion and Shariat while any type of discrimination and brutality has been termed oppression. He made it clear that Islam has given the commandment to remove evil with good, therefore, an Ayah of the holy Quran means that evil should be replaced by good or forgiveness should be exercised. The last option is that if revenge is necessary then norms of justice and fair-play should be exercised, therefore, this option could not be given in the hand of a person rather it is entrusted to the law. He said law is being sabotaged throughout the world as a result of which problems and difficulties are increasing instead of decreasing day by day. Islam is an eternal religion, the declared standards of which are supremacy, gentlemanliness, and piousness without any discrimination on the basis of gender. That is why, he said, woman was considered the sign of shame and used to be sold out like animals but Islam not only confronted wrong ideologies and thinking but also termed woman honourable giving her full right to benefit from individual and collective rights and declared her insult as wrong. He said the Khanwada Ahle Bait (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar presented great women before the world who were beacon of light for the whole humanity. Hazrat Ummul Baneen (S.A.), wife of Ali ibne Abi Talib (A.S.), was a courageous and great woman who gave birth to such great sons for the supremacy and elevation of Islam who kept the Flag of Islam fluttering high in Karbala by sacrificing their life. He said Alamdar Lashkar-e-Hussain (Standard-bearer of Hussaini Army) Hazrat Abul Fazal Al-Abbas (A.S.) was one the great son brought up in her lap who wrote such history of fulfilling the commitment that would remain a beacon of light for the world of humanity. He said at present State terrorism was on its peak in Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan, oppressed nations and Muslim States, particularly the motherland Pakistan were the main target of enemies of humanity. It was, therefore, necessary to follow the sayings of honourable women, Khawada-e-Ahle Bait (A.S.) and pious Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.) to promote unity so as to thwart the conspiracies of the international colonial powers jointly because inculcating unity and mutual understanding in case of differences is the most liked activity. Therefore, he said, there is a saying of the Rasool (SAW) that goes: Oh, Ahle Bait! You are the one on which all blessings ended, differences and anarchy removed, and unity and mutual understanding created. Some resolutions were also adopted at the main gathering of the “Ayyam-e-Madran”. A resolution lauded the statement of President Gen. Pervez Musharraf not to send Pakistani forces to Iraq owing to present circumstances. Another resolution while supporting the presidential steps to root out terrorism, demanded from the government to strictly implement the Anti-Terrorism Act and tackle the terrorists with an iron hand. The resolution reiterated that terrorists keep no faith or a country, they are only terrorists. Another resolution made it clear that a durable peace could not be restored without pulling out allied forces from Afghanistan and Iraq and without giving the people there right to form the governments of their own. After that if the Iraqi and Afghan government demands foreign troops for restoring peace only then the United Nations should play its all important role in this connection, it added. Yet another resolution while expressing solidarity with all oppressed of the world demanded to ensure protection of holy places, particularly that of Al-Quds Al-Sharif and Al-Aqsa Mosque in the light of Jewish threat of attacks. Terming the threats of Israeli attacks and hypocritical attitude of international organisations including the United Nations a source of shattering world peace, the resolution demanded that State terrorism in Kashmir and Palestine should be stopped so as to restore durable peace in Middle East and South Asia, while the long-standing conflicts there should be resolved in the light of the United Nations resolutions keeping to the desire of the respective people.
