Intl confab in Amman focuses on challenges facing Muslims

AMMAN, Jordan: An international conference on “Islam and Muslims in the 21st Century” concluded in Amman on Tuesday.

The three-day conference discussed several topics and challenges facing the Muslim Ummah in contemporary times, and how best to deal with them. More emphasis was on how best to correct the bad image created about Arabs and Muslims, particularly in some quarters in the West.

Hundreds of clergymen, scholars, intellectuals and researchers from all over the world gathered for the conference.
