Lebanese leaders condole Marjaiyah, flay Najaf-Karbala attacks By: Karim Tellawi BEIRUT, Lebanon: Lebanese leaders have strongly condemned deadly bomb blasts in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala which left at least 260 people martyred and injured on Sunday. Chairman of Supreme Islamic Shiia Council Sheikh Abdolamir Qoblan while offering condolence to Marjaiyah in Holy Najaf has severely denounced the terrorism which targeted holy cities and innocent citizens. In a statement, Hezbollah led by Sheikh Hassan Nasrollah has slammed the bloody massacre and listed these incidents into the terrorism that is continued aimed at targeting holy shrines, mosques, spiritual Marjaiyaat and religious scholars from Sunnis and Shiias in different Iraqi cities. It further said that such terror attacks which do not care for the dignity of holy places and blood of innocent render free service for the enemies that desire to create rift among Muslim unity. Tauhid Al-Islami organization, Ulema Al-Moslimin Society, Muslim Scholars Association and different religious and political parties have also condemned the attacks. END |
