Qom Ayat slams holy cities attacks, urges Iraqis keep joining hands By: Sheikh Muhammad Khurasani HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: Ayatullah Al-Mirza Jawwad At-Tabrezi has expressed his great shock and grief on the terror attacks in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in which at least 70 people were martyred and nearly 200 injured. In a statement issued from his office, Ayatullah At-Tabrezi extended condolences to the Imam of Era (may Allah hasten his reappearance), all Islamic world and the wounded Iraqi nation while condemning these heinous crimes that “violated and trampled the dignity and honor of the holy sites and targeted the life of innocent people from the residents of the two holy cities and pilgrims of the holy shrines.” He urged all Iraqis across the country in general and in the holy cities in particular to keep joining hands to defend their holy land and provide not ground to the enemies of religion to commit aggression against holy sites. Iraqis are also duty bound to foil designs and plans that are hatched to inflame biases and pave way for further massacre of innocent and disgrace of holy sites, he added. The statement concluded with prayers that may Allah overwhelmed the martyrs with His mercy, keep safe this holy land making it a hub of peace, and protect all believers from every kind of troubles and evils with the blessing of the Imam of Era (may Allah hasten his reappearance).
