First time in Saudi journalism history - Shia scholarly figure praised By: Abdulali RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: It happened for the first time in Saudi journalism history that a magazine which is published from Riyadh praised a grand Shia scholarly personality. In its 27 November 2004 edition, Al-Yamamah magazine commended Sheikh Ahmed bin Zeyn-oddin Al-Ahsayi was a significant Islamic philosopher since last two centuries. It further said that Sheikh Ahmed Al-Ahsayi is one of great personalities in our Islamic history. His scholarly fame began from Al-Ahsaa and spread towards Bahrain and then to Iraq, Iran and other Islamic countries. He was one of great figures of Al-Ahsaa in 12th and 13th hijri centuries.
