Danish Muslims protest film broadcast

COPENHAGEN, Denmark: Muslims in Denmark have filed complaints against Denmark's two state-run TV stations for having repeatedly shown excerpts of Theo van Gogh's film “Submission” after his slaying last month.

The 12-minute film, released in August, was sharply critical of Islam and the status of women in Muslim communities.

The Danish Broadcasting Corp. and TV2 have aired excerpts several times since Van Gogh's killing in Amsterdam on Nov. 2.
